  • A good example of a time where I had to make important decisions without enough time or information was during the beginning of the pandemic. Shortly before the onset of Covid-19, I was hired by a private primary care practice to lead their expansion of clinic locations in the area, strategically targeting Medicare and Medicaid patient population as we engaged with ACO’s to implement value based care. However, our prioritized changes when Covid-19 arrived, & my employers found themselves flat footed, and unprepared to adapt to the digitally enabled environment needed to produce an optimal standard of care. By leading our cross functional clinical teams and staff during a time of extreme administrative and medical uncertainty, I was able to successfully transition the practice to a full stack Virtual Primary care during the inital onset of covid-19, enabling digital and physical capabilities for patients. By digitizing and automating clinical workflow processes, our telemedicine population had increased by 121% from February to August, while increasing our overall patient population by 34%. With decreased overhead, increased provider flexibility, increased patient access, and new reimbursement avenues, we were able to remain viable for our patients while meeting the goals of our OKRs. Core functionalities that were built into our workflows to serve patients were turned into the standard of digital care delivery during coronavirus, such as Nuance for scribing, Teladoc and Dialogue for telemedicine and full stack delivery, and Carbon Health for our "pop-up" primary care services for Covid testing and other in person care.
